Grateful for one last look at the Olympic Stadium (this time set up for the closing ceremony). Ok, not technically on the 13th but we flew on a plane most of the day (13 hours) and ‘lost’ 7 hours which out of 24 hours doesn’t leave a lot of time … and it was the 13th in Singapore and Australia …
Grateful for a wonderful and unforgettable time at the London 2012 Olympics with Simon and my parents. Just can’t believe it is already over.
Grateful for the Hyde Park Olympic live site – great to be able to watch three different Olympic events simultaneously on the big screen (Lleyton Hewitt against Djokovic on one of them – good effort Lleyton, Bradley Wiggins winning Team GB’s second gold medal of the games in the time trial and Judo).
I was pretty thrilled to have this delicious little morsel …
But Gratitude for the day goes to being at Lord’s Cricket Ground for the Olympic archery. The stands were even ON the hallowed turf.
Grateful we were able to see the dramatic finals of the Women’s Epee at the Olympics.
What a wonderful day. So much to be grateful for. Definitely grateful that we were able to buy tickets (over a year ago) for the Olympic games and tha,t despite the authorised ticket agent being almost completely useless (people lining up for 6 hours and not getting the right tickets), our ticket pick up was executed perfectly by Dad yesterday allowing us to get to the Men’s basketball for the start at 9am.
