Grateful for one last look at the Olympic Stadium (this time set up for the closing ceremony). Ok, not technically on the 13th but we flew on a plane most of the day (13 hours) and ‘lost’ 7 hours which out of 24 hours doesn’t leave a lot of time … and it was the 13th in Singapore and Australia …

Grateful for the Hyde Park Olympic live site – great to be able to watch three different Olympic events simultaneously on the big screen (Lleyton Hewitt against Djokovic on one of them – good effort Lleyton, Bradley Wiggins winning Team GB’s second gold medal of the games in the time trial and Judo).

What a wonderful day. So much to be grateful for. Definitely grateful that we were able to buy tickets (over a year ago) for the Olympic games and tha,t despite the authorised ticket agent being almost completely useless (people lining up for 6 hours and not getting the right tickets), our ticket pick up was executed perfectly by Dad yesterday allowing us to get to the Men’s basketball for the start at 9am.
